Our new pilot project aiming to promote alternative routes into STEM
What is Exploring Connections?
Exploring Connections has been established to highlight the alternative routes into physics and STEM, continuing to make physics relevant to school students’ lives and highlight local STEM employment opportunities.
What have we done so far?
We launched this pilot project with an all-day event hosted at Coleg y Cymoedd, where we invited five local STEM employers to work with GCSE-aged students in “hands-on” activities. Read about how our event went here.
What do we plan to do?
Looking to the future of Exploring Connections, we are preparing to produce a short video about being an apprentice in STEM to encourage young people to consider alternative routes into STEM careers. Keep an eye out for it!
