The project is led by our small, dedicated team in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Cardiff University.
The project team at Cardiff University includes the Project Manager, Celina Lavis, Project Officer, Georgie McGarry, Events and Communications Officer, Jade Fouracre-Reynolds, and the Academic Lead, Dr Chris North.
Celina Lavis
I have been the Project Manager since November 2022 but have been with the project since September 2021. I started as a Project Officer overseeing the school involvement with the project and then stepped up to start managing the project in May 2022. In this role I essentially run all the behind the scenes stuff so the project (hopefully) runs smoothly.

I’ve been the Project Officer for Physics Mentoring since December 2022, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I also mentored and interned for the project in 2019 when I was a student at Cardiff University! I manage our mentors and schools.

Jade Fouracre-Reynolds
My job for Physics Mentoring is as Events and Communications Officer, which means I look after most of the media we use to talk to people about the project. So, I tell people what we’re doing and encourage them to get involved.

Chris North
I’m the academic lead of the Physics Mentoring Project. That means I drive the strategy, and oversee the project, but can’t take credit for the day-to-day operations of the project.
