“The school is very proud to be able to take part in this exciting project, because the pupils will gain essential skills that will be important for them in the future”

Suitable schools have been identified in concert with STEM leads of each of the regional education consortia:

  • CSC Central South Wales (Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Vale of Glamorgan)
  • EAS South East Wales (Caerphilly, Monmouthshire, Newport, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen)
  • ERW in South West and Mid Wales (Swansea, Neath Port Talbot, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire, Powys, Ceredigion)
  • GWE in North Wales (Flintshire, Conwy, Wrexham, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Denbighshire)

We liaise through schools through a “school lead”, as well as a member of the school’s leadership or management team. The school lead is typically a member of science staff who coordinates with the national coordinator and their mentor each week to ensure the smooth running of the mentoring.

If you are a teacher, Head of Science or Headteacher and you’re interested in being involved in the project, please contact us for more information.
